It is important to note that the use of the Capacitor Platform is also governed by our Terms of Service in addition to this Privacy Policy. We recommend that you carefully review this Privacy Policy. By accessing or using any part of the Capacitor Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to our policies regarding the collection and use of your personal information and data.
Information Collected. Capacitor gathers various types of information about you when you use our Platform, including the details you provide, device-related information, and usage data. We may also obtain information about you from external sources, such as third-party services or voluntary programs you participate in, which we may merge with the data we already have on you. The following are the types of information we collect from you:
1. Personal Information Provided upon Registration. When you register an account with Capacitor, we collect the details you provide us, such as your name, email address, photograph, physical address, and payment information. You also have the option to share additional information with us during the registration process. If you contact us or we reach out to you, we gather any data that you provide, including the content of the messages and any attachments you send us.
2. Data Collection during Platform Usage. Capacitor collects basic non-personally identifying information from website visitors, such as the type of browser used, language preference, referring site, and the time and date of each visitor request. This information is collected to improve the website, monitor website security and understand how visitors use the site.
For platform users, we collect information about the devices used to access the Capacitor Platform, such as device model, IP address, operating system version, carrier and manufacturer identity, radio type, preferences and settings, installed applications, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, and push notification tokens. We also collect information about how you use the platform, including the start and end time of your work, tasks or projects worked on, names of applications used on your device, websites visited, and screenshots of your device screen. Additionally, we collect information about your interactions with the Capacitor Platform, such as the content and pages viewed and the times and dates of your use.
To gather information about how you navigate through the Capacitor Platform and interact with Capacitor advertisements, we may use cookies, tracking pixels, data analytics tools like Google Analytics, SDKs, and other third-party technologies. This information is used to improve your experience, learn what content is popular, and save your preferences. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device by web servers. We may use both session cookies and persistent cookies. A session cookie disappears after you close your browser, while a persistent cookie remains after you close your browser and may be accessed every time you use the Capacitor Platform. If you do not wish to have cookies placed on your device, you can adjust your browser settings to refuse cookies before using the Capacitor Platform. 3. Data Collection from Third Parties. Capacitor may obtain information from third-party services that are necessary for the core functions of the platform, such as financial providers, marketing providers, and other businesses. We may collect the following information about you from these third-party services:
(i) Financial information, such as payment, transaction, and fraud detection information;
(ii) Information about you provided by marketing services, such as demographic and market segment information.
(iii) If you use Capacitor through your employer or another organization, we may collect information about you from those parties, such as your name and contact information.
Data Usage. Capacitor uses your personal information to provide you with an intuitive, efficient, useful, and valuable experience on our platform. We achieve this objective by utilizing your personal information to:

However, we may need to share your personal information with other users, third parties, and service providers to make the Platform operate. The website and app usage information that Capacitor collects may be shared with your company administrator, your designated manager(s) as determined by your company administrator, and yourself. Website and application monitoring is active for all users of the system when they are actively tracking time. Screenshot monitoring can be individually activated or deactivated by your company administrator for all or some members of your team.
Depending on whether you are an administrator or user, Capacitor may share the following categories of your personal information for business purposes:

Financial information, such as bank routing numbers, tax information, and any other payment information you provide us;

Information Storage and Protection. Capacitor retains your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with the Platform and other related services. Your profile information will be retained as long as your account remains active, while transactional information will be kept for at least seven years to fulfill tax obligations and legitimate business functions. If you request for your account to be deleted, we will remove your information as per our account deletion policy.
We prioritize the protection of your personal information and employ reasonable and appropriate measures to ensure its security. These measures include encrypted data transfer using HTTPS, email verification, a robust password management policy, internal system logging, network and infrastructure security, physical security, and two-factor authentication (2FA).
Data Rights and Control. Capacitor acknowledges the importance of your data rights and provides you with ways to access, delete and exercise other data rights for better control over your personal information in compliance with applicable laws.
Subject to certain legal exceptions, you have the right to access, modify, or delete your personal information, as well as the right to object to the processing of your personal information, request its restriction, or receive a copy of the personal information stored about you. You may also have the right to receive your personal information in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to transmit it to another controller without hindrance.
You may exercise your data rights by contacting Capacitor’s customer support team. Capacitor will process your request in accordance with applicable laws and within a reasonable timeframe.
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe that Capacitor has violated your data protection rights.
Please note that certain data may not be deleted or fully anonymized as required by law or necessary for Capacitor to provide its services to you. In such cases, Capacitor will ensure that your data is protected in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Capacitor values your privacy and provides you with ways to manage your personal information. You can control your information by adjusting your email subscriptions, opting out of push notifications, reviewing and editing your profile information, preventing your device from sharing location information, modifying your cookie settings, and enabling “Do Not Track” in your browser.
If you want to delete your Capacitor account, please contact your company administrator. However, in some cases, we may be unable to delete your account due to ongoing legal disputes or fraud issues related to your account. In such cases, we may retain certain information for legitimate business purposes or to comply with legal or regulatory obligations. When retaining this information, we ensure that it is not used for other purposes.
Third-Party Websites. Capacitor may provide links to third-party websites on its platform. These websites may have different privacy policies than Capacitor, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these third-party websites before providing any personal information. If you have any questions about the privacy policies or practices of these third-party websites, please contact them directly.
Please note that when you leave the Capacitor platform to visit these third-party websites, our privacy policy no longer applies. Capacitor will not be liable for any damages or losses resulting from your use of third-party websites or the information they collect.
Updates to Privacy Policy. Capacitor may update this privacy policy periodically to reflect changes in our business practices, the Capacitor Platform, or applicable privacy laws.
We will notify you of any material changes to this policy through the Capacitor Platform or by other means of communication, such as email. We encourage you to review this policy regularly for any updates or changes.
By continuing to use the Capacitor Platform after any changes or updates to this policy, you are agreeing to the most recent terms of this policy. If you do not agree to the updated policy, you should discontinue using the Capacitor Platform.
